Once you arrive in Lampang, the city is pleasantly navigable and refreshingly unhurried. Here are the local transport options our guests most commonly use:
Lampang is the only city in Thailand where horse-drawn carriages still operate as a genuine local transport tradition. A Rot Fai ride through the historic district is not just charming — it is authentically Lampang. We highly recommend this for first-time visitors as an introduction to the city’s character and pace.
Tuk-tuks and red songthaews (shared pickup trucks) are the most convenient and affordable options for getting around the city. They are widely available throughout Lampang and can be flagged down or arranged through our front desk.
Grab rideshare operates in Lampang and is a reliable, metered option for comfortable point-to-point travel. Traditional taxis are also available, particularly at the station and airport. Our team can arrange pickups and recommend trusted local drivers.
For independent explorers, rental bicycles offer a leisurely way to discover Lampang’s riverside paths, temple grounds, and neighbourhood markets at your own pace. Scooter rental is available for those who wish to venture further afield into the surrounding countryside. Ask our team for trusted rental recommendations close to the resort.
We understand that the logistics of arriving in a new destination can be the least enjoyable part of travel.
